Volunteers wanted to help children experience the fun and wonder of science
Bando Kobe Science Museum for Youth is looking for volunteers to help children experience the fun and wonder of science. Volunteers can enjoy working with children while guiding them through the exhibition rooms, workshops, programming classes, lending books, and other activities. We are also looking for star gazers for nighttime viewing events. We look forward to hearing from you.
Application Requirements
Those who love children and are interested in science, technology, and educational activities
Students over 18 years old (not high school students) and general public up to 69 years old
Residents living in the Hanshin area neighborhood
Those who can participate in the pre-interview and training
Those who wish to participate in nighttime viewing activities need to be qualified as a star guide.
Period of activity
From any time after registration to March 31, 2026 (renewable annually)
Activity hours
About 6 hours from 9:30 to 17:00 (including 1 hour break)
From 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (nighttime stargazing)
Activities
Guiding visitors in the exhibition rooms (including preparation and cleanup), safety management
Use of the Science Information Room (library), lending out and organizing books
Preparation for and assistance with workshops, programming and other classes and club activities
Assistance for nighttime astronomical viewing, safety management
