Application Guidelines

Category

• Elementary school students (1st, 2nd and 3rd grades, including toddlers)
• Upper elementary school division (4th, 5th, and 6th graders)
• Adult division (including junior high and high school students)

Entry rules

• Up to one poem per person (limited to unpublished works)

Accepted themes

• Lower elementary school students and upper elementary school students: “Fun memories of Sumiyoshi River,” “Living creatures of Sumiyoshi River,” “Playing in the water of Sumiyoshi River
• Adult division: “Sumiyoshi River for your dream

Access

• JR “Sumiyoshi Station” alighting, southeast 500m (about 8 minutes’ walk)
• Hanshin Railway “Uozaki” station alighting, 700m north along Sumiyoshi River (about 11 minutes’ walk)
• Take city bus No. 35, 37A, 38, Hanshin Bus, or Sumiyoshidai Kuru Kuru Bus and get off at Higashinada Kuyakusho-mae bus stop.

Q1: Can I apply from outside the city (outside the ward)?

A1: Yes, it is possible. However, please do not apply if you have never visited Sumiyoshi River.

A2: Entries (up to one per person), name, address, and telephone number. For elementary and junior high school students, include school name and grade.
