Stage “Minato no Ko” to be performed at Piffle Hall in Kobe on August 30

The stage play “Minato no Ko (Children of Minato),” themed on the 30th anniversary of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, will be performed at Piffle Hall, 4 Wakamatsu-cho, Nagata-ku, Kobe, on August 30, 2002.

A story about the hardships of the earthquake disaster and rebirth

The story revolves around “Yoshiro Enoki,” a mid-level comedian and snack bar owner in Kobe. In addition to the conflict with his daughter “Misa” who has returned from Tokyo, the story is spun by the appearance of an old man who was saved by Yoshiro’s father at the time of the earthquake. The rhythms of the steel pan band “Fantastics” and the music of folk singer Sakuto bring a bright and positive touch to the heavy theme.
