Dining Izakaya Chicken Bar” (2 Motomachi Dori, Chuo-ku, Kobe; TEL 078-381-9119 ) near Motomachi Station, Kobe, will celebrate its 10th anniversary on September 20.
The “10th Anniversary Special Menu” (dishes are for two people)
The restaurant was opened in 2013 by “Meal Suggestions,” a joint venture company that manages “Chenglong” (Sannomiya-cho 2), a dim sum bar in Sannomiya. It offers an extensive menu centered on chicken dishes using morning-gluten chicken.
The restaurant has a floor space of 13.5 tsubo. It seats 14 at tables and 8 at the counter. Popular menu items include “Asagiki Chicken Sashimi Platter” (3 kinds = 1,180 yen, 5 kinds = 1,680 yen), “Chicken Nanban” (586 yen), and various skewers and cutlets (from 149 yen per piece). Drinks include draft beer (medium = 495 yen, large = 858 yen, mega = 1,210 yen), shochu (473 yen), chuhai (484 yen), and cocktails (532 yen). At lunch time, the restaurant offers the “Chicken Nanban Set Meal” (850 yen) and other dishes.
President Keita Onishi said, “The Corona disaster made me realize once again the importance of employees. We are celebrating our 10th anniversary without incident as a result of continuing to operate with shortened hours, placing the highest priority on protecting employment. The biggest reason we were able to overcome the difficult situation was the support of our employees. I realized that nothing is taken for granted, and I became more patient and appreciative of others,” he says.
In addition to the daily menu changes, the grand menu is changed twice a year, and the lunch menu changes every month. The most attractive thing about cooking is that you can bring a smile to the face of even a first-time customer who just happens to be in the restaurant with delicious food. In order to convey this joy, I would like to focus on training chefs. I would like to entrust the restaurant to the employees I have trained and work to fulfill my dream of expanding overseas, which I have dreamed of since opening the restaurant,” says Onishi.
On the 18th, 19th, and 20th, the restaurant will hold a “10th Anniversary Festival. During the period, a “10th Anniversary Special Menu” (1,000 yen), which includes two popular menu items and a drink, will be sold during dinner hours, and the first 150 customers will receive an original towel. The event will end as soon as it runs out.
Mr. Onishi said, “Celebrating our 10th anniversary gives us confidence as a restaurant loved by the community, and we hope to stay in business for as long as possible. There are many unique, delicious, and attractive restaurants in the Motomachi area. I would like to hold events to convey the charm of these restaurants.
