The event was organized by “KOBE TOMARIGI,” an organization formed by local housewives in 2018. On the day of the event, about 70 booths were set up on both days, including restaurants and handmade artists with ties to Kobe. Among the booths was the “Product Development Project by High School Students,” a project by local high school students to reduce food loss, and for the third event, under the supervision of “Kobe Franz,” three products were sold: “cut baum” and “stick baum” made from baumkuchen scraps, and “puff rusk” made from puff pastry skins that were to be discarded. Rusk,” which were made from the crusts of cream puffs that were scheduled to be discarded. There were also workshops for children to make slime and hand cream, magic by performer Keita, and live music by Keiko Cake, attracting participants of all ages.
Fukami said, “I hope that the activities of Tomariki will be an opportunity for people and stores to connect with each other. We would like to further enhance the vitality of the community through these activities.
