Autumn red seals to fill you with calm and contentment Ikuta in Sannomiya

Six new “limited edition red seals” will be awarded at Ikuta Shrine in Sannomiya (Chuo-ku, Kobe) from September 1.

The first “Shikki red seal [Gekka]” will be awarded for 1,000 yen (until October 31).

This red seal is a representation of the full moon shining brightly and brilliantly in the night sky of autumn in Kobe, using the intricate shimmer of the “etching process”. It is hoped that visitors will feel the power of Ikuta no Mikami, be united by a precious divine connection, and be filled with a sense of serenity and contentment during this beautiful season.

Kirie Goshuin [Autumn Pilgrimage]” (1,000 yen) *Offering period: until October 31

This is a paper cutout of an autumn scene changing from dusk to night. The left side depicts the double-flowered cherry tree, which is the crest of Ikuta Shrine, and the maple trees on the grounds of Ikuta Shrine, arranged in various shapes around them, depicting the grounds at dusk in autumn illuminated by the setting sun.

Kirie red seal “Gekpaku Fuu Sei” (paper cutout): 1,000 yen (first earning 1,000 yen) *Offering period: until October 31st.

This red seal features the words “Gekppaku Fusei” (meaning “moon shining white and wind blowing coolly”), which expresses the atmosphere of an early autumn night when the moon shines white and the wind blows coolly, and a rabbit running on the waves (derived from the lyrics of the song “Chikubujima”).

Limited edition red seal for September [Meigetsu]”: 1,000 yen (first earning 1,000 yen) *Offering period: until September 30.

This red seal features a rabbit admiring the beautiful moon shining brightly in the night sky of Kobe and a design depicting the autumnal atmosphere. It is hoped that this month will be a month of purity and good karma under the divine connection with Ikuta no Mikami.

September limited red seal “Nagatsuki” (500 yen) *Offering period: until September 30

This red seal features a full moon shining in the quiet and pure night sky of autumn, and “Atsumori’s bush clovers” blooming in the precincts of the shrine, arranged in the city of Kobe to express a beautiful scene of autumn. It is a wish that the new month will be a good month, rich in spirit.

Autumn special Goshuin (red seal) “Autumn Pilgrimage”: 500 yen (first earning 500 yen) *Offering period: until November 30.

This seasonal red seal features a pure image of the shrine’s crest, a double-flowered cherry tree, and the moon and autumn leaves, which represent autumn. They are awarded with a prayer for your health and happiness.
