Kita Suzurandai, Kobe, to host “Kita Suzu Summer Festival ver1.5,” featuring the debut of an original dance

The “Kita- Suzu Summer Festival ver1.5” will be held on July 27 at a vacant lot on the east side of Kitayama Park (1 Koueidai, Kita-ku, Kobe) near Kita Suzurandai Station. The organizer of the event is the community development company “Kitasuzu Land.

Local residents gather one after another (last year’s event)

The “Hybrid Summer Festival,” based on the concept of collaboration between the community and businesses, will feature stalls set up by groups and students active in Kita-ku, Kobe.

• Attractions: Smart Ball / Super Ball Scooping / Target Shooting, etc. 7 stores
• Food Kitchen Cars: 6 stalls offering pizza, crepes, takoyaki, karaage, frankfurters, kushikatsu, etc.

Original Ondo performance

Live performance of “KITASUZU Ondo” three times (17:00/18:00/19:00) with cooperation of local residents Production background:

• Creation of lyrics based on questionnaires to junior high school students
• Composition and arrangement by local musicians
• Choreography by dance instructors

Pre-workshop

Original taiko drumming workshop will be held at “KITASZ Terrace” on July 20. The finished product will be played at the main festival.
