Kobe City: “Kokoro ga Somaru Mini Live” Calling for Performers – Art Works

Shiawase-no-Mura will hold a collaborative event of art and music at the site of “The 14th Kokorono Art Exhibition,” an art exhibition for the physically challenged to be held from December 2025 to January 2026. We are looking for five groups of performers who will select, arrange, and perform music inspired by the artworks in the “Art for the Heart” exhibition. Any genre of music is welcome, including classical, pop, and jazz. Why don’t you bring your unique musical sensibility to the audience at the live performance?

• (1) Capacity: 5 groups (solo or groups of 5 or less)
• (2) Eligibility
  • (1) Applicants must have a connection to Kobe (one person in the group must live, work, study, or be from the city).
  • 2) Applicants must be able to bring their own musical instrument (a grand piano may be used)
  • 3) Any genre (classical, jazz, pop, singing, vocal, etc.)
    • *Some conditions apply. Unpublished original works are also acceptable.
    • (*As the venue is the hotel lobby, performances that cause strong vibrations or are too loud are not permitted.
  • 4) Experience (professional, amateur, student, etc.) and age are not required.
  • 5) Applicants must be able to perform on December 21, 2025 (Sun.), the day of the mini live concert.
  • ⑥ Those who are able to participate in the “14th Kokoro no Art Exhibition” artwork open day (for applicants only)
    Date & Time: Saturday, August 30, 12:00 – 15:00 or Monday, September 1, 10:00 – 12:00
    Location: Shiawase no Mura Main Building & Guest House
• (3) Program: 25 minutes per pair (20 minutes for performance, 5 minutes for talk)
• (4) Loaner: music stands (2), chairs, MC microphones, power supply, grand piano
• (5) Gratuities (performance fee)
  • Solo: 15,000 yen per group
  • Group: 25,000 yen per group

  • Method: Submit the “Performer Application Form” from the official Shiawase no Mura website

  • Period: From Sunday, August 31, 2025 to Tuesday, September 23, 2025 (national holiday)
  • Method: “Mini Live Performer Application Form” will be sent to pre-registered applicants
  • Required items:
    • 1) Inspired program (25 minutes or less)
    • ②Demo sound source (MP3 data within the past year)
    • (3) Self-promotion and profile

Screening and announcement of results

All applicants will be notified, and those selected to perform will be announced on the Shiawase-no-Mura official website (scheduled for early October).
