While visiting the Kobe Municipal Botanical Garden (Kita-ku, Kobe), we found an interesting facility near the Hydrangea Slope.
The bench labeled “KOBE COOL BENCH” changes to “HOT BENCH” in winter. I tried it out as soon as I could, as it uses the same technology as the cool benches in Isogami Park.
How the COOL BENCH works
The cool bench can be used at any time as long as the red light is blinking, and the seat surface is instantly cooled by pressing a button.
The light changes from red to yellow to green in a few dozen seconds after the button is operated, and the cooling effect was so effective that condensation could be seen on the seat surface.
Experience Report
When we actually touched the seat surface, we confirmed that it felt as cool as a refrigerator.
The cooling effect seemed to be higher than that of the bench in Isogami Park, and expectations are high for the warming mode in winter.
