Healing Cafe Lunch at the Renovated Sannomiya “Herb Laboratory

Herb Laboratory” (Chuo-ku, Kobe) is located across the west side of Higashi Yuenchi near Kobe City Hall. Renovated for “Herb Day” on August 2 this year, Herb Laboratory has evolved into a more comfortable and healing space with an expanded menu of sweets and kids’ items and more café hours.

Walking south from Sannomiya Station in the direction of City Hall for about 5 minutes, you will see the store marked by an open terrace.

As the name suggests, the store offers carefully selected herbal teas, as well as lunch and sweets that are gentle on the body and delicious.

Substantial new menu

After the renovation, the number of drink variations, including fruit teas, has increased. In addition to lunch, the food menu now includes bagels and sandwiches at all times. A photo menu has been introduced, making it easy for first-time customers to order without hesitation.

The new refrigerated showcase features a selection of healthful handmade sweets.

Popular Lunch Set

The “Basil Filled Gapao Rice” is perfect for the hot season and has an authentic ethnic flavor with fish sauce and oyster sauce. Accented with colorful vegetables and the texture of nuts, it is a hearty dish.

The lunch set comes with “Labo Tea,” a blend of 24 different Japanese herbs. It is a refreshing drink that goes well with meals.

Healthy Sweets

Banana Oatmeal Cake is a gluten-free sweet made with rice flour and oatmeal. It has a moderately full feeling and is ideal as a snack for children.

Family-friendly space

Designed to be child-friendly, the restaurant can accommodate baby strollers. The new “Children’s Curry” is a zero spicy dish based on sweet potatoes and onions.

Original Blending Experience

Original herbal blends can be created according to your physical condition and preferences. Expert staff can suggest blends for women that can be expected to balance hormones.

Seasonal menus are also offered, with the summer menu scheduled to be available until the end of September.
