From April 22, a special exhibition, “Dialogue with Painters,” is being held at the Museum of Contemporary Art Kobe in Higashinada Ward, Kobe, until June 18. 
The theme of the exhibition is “Dialogue” with painters.
As the title suggests, this exhibition is designed for visitors to enjoy viewing artworks with the image of having a “dialogue” with the artist, asking questions and sharing their impressions.

The creation of a painting begins with the artist’s personal aesthetic feelings and is completed by various factors, such as preparation for production and the message contained in the work. In order to allow visitors to experience the presence of the work with their entire body, the works exhibited at the event were selected from the museum’s collection of relatively large works. Sixty-nine works in a variety of colors and styles will be on display.

The staff member in charge of the exhibition hopes that visitors will enjoy the works freely with the feeling of creating their own explanations and interpretations of the works. ＜
Dialogue with the artist is an interesting theme, isn’t it? If you appreciate a work with the feeling of dialogue, you may be able to find a clue to what the artist was thinking when he or she wrote it.
