The “SDGs Summer Holiday Free Research Help Workshop 2025 for Parents and Children” will be held on August 2 at Kobe Shu-shin-kan, known for its famous sake “Fukuju”. Participation is free of charge, and advance registration is required.
The event will be held by Kobe Shu-shin-kan, which has been working on sustainable sake brewing on a daily basis, inviting people who support rice production and environmentally friendly initiatives to think about the SDGs with elementary school students and their parents, who will be responsible for the future.
There are two programs: “Course 1,” in which participants can learn about rice, water, and fermentation, which are the raw materials for sake, and “Course 2,” in which participants can think about electric vehicles and global warming and experience artwork. Participants will learn by touring booths set up for each theme. Course 1 is designed for 4th grade elementary school students and up.
Both courses will be held twice a day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon, and are scheduled to last approximately two hours. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis from 11:00 a.m. on July 19 at the dedicated website below. The maximum number of participants for each session is 20.
