Oh! huggy!”, a store specializing in flower o-hagi has a new shaved ice “Hanaichigo-gori”!

Flower o-hagi specialty store “Oh! （Okamoto Honten, a shop specializing in flower o-hagi in Higashinada-ku, Kobe City, has introduced a new shaved ice “Hanaichigo-go-ori” (flower strawberry ice).

Characteristics of authentic shaved ice

Authentic shaved ice made from high purity icicles that have been painstakingly finished over a 48-hour period. Each bite features a texture that gently melts in the mouth. The ice is topped with homemade thick strawberry sauce and a flower made of fresh cream and red bean paste, and then layered with melted strawbaked rice cake.

Also available for take-out

This year, a half-size takeout version (880 yen, tax included) is also available, making it easier to enjoy.

New “Flower Ice Cream” is also available

Flower Ice Cream” (680 yen, tax included), also newly released, features hand-pressed red bean paste that resembles a sunflower flower. Colored only with natural dyes, the ice cream is harmonized with the elegant flavor of the bean paste made by Kineya Toyomitsu, a long-established Japanese confectionery in Ashiya.
