The Kobe Medical Personnel Support Fund, which is designed to express appreciation and solidarity with medical personnel who are struggling on the front lines of treatment and prevention of patients with new-type coronavirus infection and to collect donations to support their activities, is no longer accepting donations from citizens and companies. The Kobe Medical Supporters Support Fund, which is widely accepting donations from citizens and companies to support the activities of medical professionals, will stop accepting donations on March 31, 2023 (Friday), as new coronavirus infection will be classified as a “Class 5 Infectious Disease” starting in May.
The Kobe Medical Supporters Fund has so far received a total of approximately 875 million yen (as of March 16, 2023) in donations from citizens and companies, which has been used to support medical professionals working on the front lines of coronas.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all of you for your donations, which have enabled us to provide tremendous support and assistance to so many medical professionals.
The balance of the donations will be distributed to medical professionals after the Fund’s Allocation Committee deliberates on the criteria and method of distribution following the close of the donation receipt.
