Kobe City: Outbreak of New Coronavirus Infections

Until May 7, 2023, new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) was a disease subject to total coverage, and the city has been monitoring newly infected patients based on notifications from physicians and announcing the current status of outbreaks and other information on a daily basis.
On and after May 8, 2023, the government changed the status of new coronavirus infection to a category 5 infectious disease and also made it a disease to be monitored at fixed points, and the outbreaks are monitored on a weekly basis based on notifications from medical institutions designated by the prefectural government.
Kobe City publishes the weekly outbreaks on the Kobe City Integrated Information System for Infectious Diseases.

Diseases to be monitored: Diseases that are rare or for which it is necessary to prevent the spread of infection to the surrounding area.
*Diseases for which outbreak trends need to be monitored are those for which the number of patients, such as seasonal influenza, is so large that it is not necessary to monitor the total number of cases, but rather to monitor trends in outbreaks.
