Seishin-chuo Plenty to be Renewed; Asuka Kijima Talk Show to be Held

　Plenty” (5 Kouji-dai, Nishi-ku, Kobe City), a commercial facility in front of Seishin-Chuo Station on the Kobe Municipal Subway, will be reopened on October 19.

　The Kobe Future City Organization, which has been carrying out a large-scale renovation of this facility since May of this year, has been working to meet the evolving and diversifying needs of the city of Kobe through this facility as part of the “Seishin-Chuo Revitalization Plan: An Evolving Quality Town” under the “Renovation Kobe” project to improve the city brand and attract the population, The facility will be reborn as a “future-oriented shopping center where multiple generations can spend their time leisurely” with new facilities and stores that respond to evolving and diversifying needs, values, and lifestyles, and meet the needs of the post-Corona social environment and the child-rearing generation.

　In addition to a new food court, kids floor, and co-working space, approximately 30% of the area will have new stores, and 60% of the stores will be renovated, including relocations and remodeling.

　On the first day of the opening, the 19th, an opening ceremony will be held at Plenty Ichibankan Park Avenue (9:10-10:00). In addition to a ribbon-cutting ceremony and the unveiling of “Unknown Ruins,” a work of art created by an art project in collaboration with Kobe Design University, a live performance will be given by “VINO,” an instrumental band from Kobe that is active both in Japan and abroad.

　On the 21st, an opening event (11:00-12:20) will be held at Plenty Square. There will be a SDGs-themed dance performance by local children, a talk show by Asuka Kijima, a model and TV personality from Kobe, a performance by the Takigawa Daini High School brass band, and a mass game in which approximately 300 people will use “Plenty Flags” to create a giant logo of Plenty.
