Kobe: Journal of Corona Response at Central Municipal Hospital to be Published

Kobe City Medical Center Chuo Municipal Hospital, a designated Type 1 and Type 2 hospital for infectious diseases, has faced various challenges and difficulties from the early days of the new coronavirus infection to the present, and has overcome unprecedented difficulties by holding discussions each time, establishing a new system, and taking measures.
In order to prepare for future emerging infectious diseases and to apply this experience to future countermeasures, a detailed record of the three-year response at the hospital site, including the conflicts of the staff, has been compiled and published by the Kobe Shimbun.

The book includes interviews with the hospital director, doctors, nurses, and many other staff members who were involved in the response to the new coronavirus infection, and describes how they overcame various challenges and difficulties, and what their feelings were at the time. The book is designed to be read not only by medical professionals but also by the general public.
