Kobe City: Kobe Silver Chorus Festival 2024 to be held

The

purpose of

the festival is to provide a place for seniors who are making efforts in choral activities to present their works, to promote choral activities, and to promote interactions among seniors. The purpose of the festival is to promote choral activities and interaction among a wide range of senior citizens. Performing groups will have the opportunity to receive critiques from experts.

2. Date and Time:

October 1, 2024 (Tuesday) 12:00 – 18:00 (tentative)

3. Venue:

Kobe Bunka Hall Middle Hall (4-2-2 Kusunokucho, Chuo-ku, Kobe)

4. Critics

: Kazuyo Inoue (vocalist) and 5 others

5. Eligibility

: In

principle, minimum age of performers must be 50 and average age 60 (as of April 1, 2025

) or older,

In principle, the minimum age of performers must be at least 50 years old, and the average age must be at least 60 years old (age as of April 1, 2025). Female, male, or mixed chorus groups consisting of at least 16 members
Note: Conductors and accompanists are not included in the number of performers, regardless of their age.

the event that there are too many groups applying, groups will be selected by drawing lots.

8. How to Apply

: The

application period, application method, and festival details will be announced on the Shiawase-no-Mura and Kobe Citizens Welfare Promotion Association websites around the middle of March, 2024
