Strider” Kids’ Bike Event Held for the First Time in Meriken Park

The “Strider Enjoy Cup Kobe Meriken Park Children’s Day Stage” will be held on May 4 and 5, 2012. Applications are now being accepted.

The event is popular among infants and toddlers alike for its authentic racing experience, and has been held throughout Japan, but this will be the first time it will be held at Meriken Park.
In addition to the 2- to 4-year-old category, there will be an exhibition race for children as young as 1.5 years old, and the “STRIDER 14x” with 14-inch wheels and detachable pedal units for 4- to 6-year-olds. The “14x division” will be held for 4 to 6 year olds using the “STRIDER 14x” with 14-inch wheels and a detachable pedal unit (participation in pedal mode is not allowed).
Entry from the official website is required in advance for participation, and both are on a first-come, first-served basis. There are no same-day entry slots for the race, but a test-ride experience area will be available at the venue.
All children, whether they are not yet confident enough to participate in the event or have accompanied their siblings, will have free access to a course with single bridges and other obstacles. Vehicle bodies are also available for rent.

Meriken Park, the venue for this year’s event, is easily accessible by train, and the sea breeze and the view of Kobe make it an excellent location♪
It will be easy to participate, even with small children in tow.

*First-come, first-served basis; no registration on the day
*Close as soon as the capacity of each category is reached.
There is no waiting list for events that have reached capacity.
