Planning and Coordination Bureau Tokyo Office
Kobe City and Nestlé Japan Co., Ltd. have launched a project titled “Weaving Thoughts from the Tokyo Area to Kobe,” the first of its kind in Japan, in which paper packages such as Nestlé products and milk cartons collected from people in the Tokyo area who have supported Kobe, and wood from thinning of Mt. Rokko, and upcycled them into children’s clothing to be delivered to children living in orphanages in the city.
The clothes for approximately 400 children will be donated to the Kobe City Federation of Children’s Homes.

1. Presentation Ceremony

Date: Friday, March 24, 2023, from 2:00 p.m.
・Place: Reception Room 3, 14th floor, No. 1 Building, City Hall Main Building

About the “Spinning Thoughts from Tokyo to Kobe Project

This is an initiative to deliver children’s clothing to children living in orphanages in the city by effectively utilizing and upcycling paper packages such as Nestlé products and milk cartons collected from people in the Tokyo area who wish to support Kobe, and wood from thinning generated from the maintenance of Mt.
