A gentle, funny, and slightly eccentric comedy at Kobe Film Archive

The Kobe Film Archive (Nagata-ku, Kobe) will hold “Nakayoshi Duo: Laurel & Hardy Special” on April 29 and 30 and May 3-6.

Little Stan and Big Ollie. Laurel and Hardy, called the greatest duo in the history of comedy films, made more than 100 films, both silent and talkies.
They fight a lot in their films, but in reality they are the best of friends. They are always there for each other, caring for each other, helping each other, and trying their best to live in a tough world. It is a paradise in this world when you have a partner you love!
The Showdown of the Century
This special program will include the Japan premiere of the restored version of “Showdown of the Century,” a silent short film (with live accompaniment), and many of Stan and Ollie’s gentle, funny, and slightly quirky comedies. There will also be film projection demonstrations, lectures, and mini-talks!
May 4 will be “Kids’ Day,” when children are allowed to make a little noise. ＜A word from the reporter:
