From April 3, Kobe City has begun accepting applications for and using the “Community Child-Raising Bathing Discount”. Both application and usage are available until March 31 of next year.

This program is part of the city’s “Sento (public bath) Usage Promotion Project. At 31 public bathhouses in Kobe City, when an adult and a child use a sento together, the child (who must be 18 years old or younger as of March 31, 2024, the last day of the fiscal year, and a resident of Kobe City) will receive free admission. In addition, for each child, the regular fee for one adult is reduced by half (from 450 yen to 220 yen).
Since the offer is applicable to “adults and children,” it can be used in a variety of situations, not limited to “parents and children” or “grandparents and grandchildren. This service can be used when an adult (user with a ticket) and a child (user with a ticket who is either a junior or senior high school student, elementary school student, or infant) go to a public bathhouse together.
