On June 2, “átoa,” a theater-style aquarium in Chuo-ku, Kobe, began selling a limited-time café menu with a “rainy season” theme, which will be available for purchase until mid-July.
The facility has devised a fun menu that will make people want to take pictures, in order to entertain visitors during the rainy season when it is difficult to go out. Two types of drinks will be on sale.
Frog Mojito (non-alcoholic)” 700 yen (tax included)
The new “Frog Mojito” is based on the motif of a “frog” that lives near the water, and its realistic visual impact is outstanding! The frog eggs are made of basil seed, which has a characteristic crumbly texture. The “frog gummy” on top of the frog egg reminds one of its realistic appearance, but in fact, the refreshing mint and lime flavor makes it the perfect drink for a gloomy rainy day.
Penguin soft serve ice cream after the rain” 880 yen (tax included)
The “Penguin Soft Ice Cream,” which was sold as a GW limited menu item this year, has been so popular that it has been upgraded and re-released! The ice cream is topped with cute “penguin marshmallows” with colorful beaks, but this time the motif is “after the rain” during the “rainy season. The blue sky is represented by “blue sugar,” the white clouds by “soft serve ice cream,” and the rainbow in the sky by “gummy bears. <A word from the reporter:
I was surprised at how realistic and pop-like they looked! You won’t be able to stop taking pictures.
