New Children’s Center Offers Space for Preschoolers and Parents to Enjoy “Tarumi Children’s Center

On June 26, a new children’s hall will open at “Levante Tarumi 2” in Tarumi Ward, Kobe City.

The area around Tarumi Station is convenient in terms of transportation, with various facilities, including the ward office, clustered around the station, and only 18 minutes to Sannomiya by JR train. However, there were concerns and issues such as a shortage of elementary school classrooms due to population growth, aging facilities, and a shortage of pediatric beds.

Therefore, Kobe City reallocated public and utility facilities in the Tarumi Station area. In addition, the city is working to enhance the child-rearing environment and increase the number of people living and interacting in Tarumi Ward.

The establishment of a new children’s center is part of this “Tarumi Revitalization Plan. The children’s hall will be open to children between the ages of 0 and 18. It also has a “Oyako-Flat Plaza” where preschoolers and their parents can play with their children. In a space inspired by the sea, fish, and other natural features typical of Tarumi Ward, there is a space for children aged 3 and older to move around and play on playground equipment.
