City of Kobe: Call for nominations of candidates for the 42nd Kobe Youth Award

1. Purpose

The City of Kobe awards the Kobe Youth Award to individuals and organizations that have made outstanding achievements or steady efforts in the promotion of cultural, sporting, and social activities of the city’s youth.
For the 42nd award in 2023, we are calling for candidates for the award as follows.
The recipients will be decided around the end of January 2024, and the nominators will be notified and the award will be announced around the beginning of February of the same year.

2. Eligibility for nomination

1. Individuals: Children, students, and students who are under 18 years of age as of April 1 of the award year and reside or attend school in the city as of December 31 of the award year.
2. Groups: Groups consisting of children, students, and students who are under 18 years old as of April 1 of the award year and who reside or attend school in the city as of December 31 of the award year.

*Please obtain permission from the applicant before submitting the nomination and publicizing the award in the case of winning.

3. Selection Criteria

Culture and Sports Division
・Performers who have achieved first or second place in a concert, exhibition, or competition of national scale.
Those who have achieved first to third place in concerts, exhibitions, competitions, etc. of international scale.
Those who have achieved first to third prizes in international concerts, exhibitions, competitions, etc.
Those who have been engaged in volunteer activities for more than 5 years.
Those who have been involved in volunteer activities for approximately 5 years or more, and those who are considered to be particularly deserving of awards.
The competition results are for the one-year period from January to December 2023.
*The Kobe Honor Award, Kobe City Sports Special Award, Kobe City Sports Commendation, or Art and Culture Special Award are not eligible for commendation.

5. Nomination Method

Please fill out the “Kobe Youth Award Candidate Nomination Form” and submit it to the e-mail address below, along with a summary of the competition, a list of results, and a copy of the award certificate. The form is available on the Kobe Youth Award website. (If you have difficulty submitting the form by e-mail, you may also send it by mail.)
Please note that submitted forms will not be returned.

Please submit the recommendation form to : kk_renkei@office.city.kobe.lg.jp
*Please attach the recommendation form as an Excel file to an e-mail.
The title of the e-mail should be “Kobe Youth Award Nomination”.
