Kobe City: Donation of Children’s Books from the Minato Bank Cultural Promotion Foundation

Purpose

The Minato Bank Cultural Promotion Foundation is engaged in activities aimed at encouraging children to read. The foundation has donated a total of 103 children’s books to the Kobe Nada Library and the Kobe Nishi Library. In addition, 840 dark blue non-woven bags (approx. 34 x 28 cm) were also donated. The bags will be used for events at all city libraries.

Donation details

• 103 children’s books including picture books and books useful for learning
  49 books for Nada Library, 54 books for Nishi Library (worth 100,000 yen each library)
• 840 non-woven bags

For eight years since FY2016, the foundation has donated books to two libraries each year
