New Night Culture in Sannomiya to Explore the Park’s Charm at Night Sannomiya

NIGHT PICNIC, a complex event held last year in Higashi Yuenchi (Kobe), will be held again in 2024. 4 events are planned for May, June, August, and October.

The event is planned to be held four times in May, June, August, and October. The concept of the event is “Public Nightlife: Time for New Scenery to Emerge from Kobe’s Urban Parks,” with a variety of food and drink outlets lined up at the venue, as well as various events and programs that take advantage of the park’s nighttime charm. The event will also feature a variety of events and programs that make the most of the park’s nighttime attractions.

Past events

This year’s event will be held mainly on weekday evenings, with the three goals of “making the park safe and secure for all to visit,” “connecting to daily life,” and “exploring the potential of the park.

The inaugural event will be held on May 15 under the theme “Learn about the Park, Deepen the Night.” The first event will be held from May 15 to 17 under the theme of “Learn about the park, deepen the night,” and will feature a daily changing lineup of stores selling Italian, deli, bakery, and other gourmet foods, as well as craft beer, natural wine, coffee, and other beverages.

In addition, there will be concerts based on the theme of “Jazz,” which is closely related to Kobe, music booths by DJs active in Kobe and the Kansai region, talk events and talk sessions to deepen “learning” in the park, a “children’s candy store” for children to enjoy, and a “children’s food store” where you can eat what you make on the lawn. Children can also enjoy “Children’s Candy Store” and “Picnic by Yourself” where you can eat what you have made on the lawn.
