Free admission! Match between Hozumi Hasegawa and Keisuke Kano, former Hanshin

The 4th HOZUMI HASEGAWA CUP, a boxing event for amateurs, will be held at Meriken Park (Chuo Ward, Kobe City) on June 22. Admission is free. In case of rain, the event will be held at Kobe ANNEX of Harbor Studio.

Former world champion Hozumi Hasegawa and Akihiro Imada, vice president of the Hashiba-cho Dori Machizukuri Council, have teamed up for this boxing event. 80 amateur boxers over 25 years old, who box at gyms in the Kansai area, are scheduled to participate on the day.

The first event will be held at “Harbor Studio,” the largest capacity live house in Kobe, and the second event will be held on a larger scale on a special outdoor stage in Meriken Park, a popular spot symbolizing Kobe.

The third event was held at the ANNEX of Harbor Studio, with a record number of entries and a total of 30 matches, including a sparring session between the MVP and Hozumi Hasegawa as the final match.

The fourth event was again held outdoors at Meriken Park. There will also be a new sparring competition for kids boxers, where children from 4th grade elementary school to 3rd grade junior high school will compete their skills without winning or losing.

After a total of 34 matches, the 35th “MASTERS MATCH” will be held, featuring a two-minute, one-round sparring match between Hozumi Hasegawa vs. Keisuke Kano (former Hanshin Tigers). In addition to food vendors such as kitchen cars, official goods will be on sale at the venue.
