Kobe City: Cooperative class with Hyogo Prefectural Rugby Football Association “Tag

A tag rugby class will be held by the Hyogo Prefectural Rugby Football Association with the aim of having children enjoy the fun of exercise and develop a love of physical activity through tag rugby.

1. Contents

・Delivery class “Tag Rugby Class”
Children will become familiar with tag rugby while being introduced to games and games using tags and rugby balls.
・ Instructors
3-4 qualified tag teachers including Eri O’Callaghan, a representative of Japan’s tag rugby team
・ Activities
(1) Warm-up

(2) Tag handling practice
(3) Practice using a ball
(4) Challenge to a game
・ Schools
Mayo Elementary School (to be implemented sequentially at 7 other elementary schools in the city)

Date: Wednesday, July 17, 2024

Location

: 3rd grade classroom and gymnasium, Mayo Elementary School, Kobe (1-5-5 Futaba-cho, Nagata-ku, Kobe)
Time: 3rd and 4th period (10:45-12:20)
Target: 3rd graders (25 students)
