Over 20 kinds of sweets and authentic French cuisine: Chocolates and strawberries at Kobe Kitano Hotel

A new night sweets buffet menu, “Concerto of Chocolates and Strawberries – Harmonious Party,” will start on December 1 at “Igrek” dining room of Kobe Kitano Hotel (Chuo-ku, Kobe). It will be offered until February 28 next year.

This extravagant menu features more than 20 kinds of sweets prepared by patissiers using chocolate, a winter staple, and strawberries, which anticipate the arrival of spring, and offers a special menu in which different ingredients are harmonized together like a “concerto,” the theme of the event.

The sweets include strawberry and white chocolate mousse, strawberry and rose jelly, strawberry tiramisu, etc., as well as freshly baked fondant chocolate tart and chocolate brûlée.

Hachette Desserts

As an evening-only menu item, the restaurant also offers three types of desserts: Hachette Dessert, freshly baked fondant chocolate tart, and strawberry millefeuille. Of particular note are the Hachette Desserts, which are served on gorgeous plates, and the Millefeuille, which combines a crispy pie with a sweet custard cream.

In addition to sweets, the restaurant also offers a full range of meals, starting with an open pork cutlet sandwich and salad, followed by nine all-you-can-eat dishes, including crab cream croquette au gratin and chicken fritters. A variety of soups and rice with hashed meat are also available, making for a hearty meal.

The “Tea Party Lunch & Sweets Buffet” includes a satisfying lunch and all-you-can-eat “Chocolate and Strawberry Concerto” sweets for 5,800 yen (tax and service charge included).

The “Tea Party Lunch & Sweets Buffet” is also offered during lunch hours. This set includes a charcuterie platter, crudité (French vegetable side dish), a main dish of poached fish or beef filet, salad, bread, soup, and a sweets buffet of approximately 20 kinds (excluding 3 kinds on the night-only menu).
