The Kobe Stokes, a men’s professional basketball team based in Kobe City, will invite elementary, junior high and high school students in Hyogo Prefecture to its home games in March for free. Accompanying students can also watch the games at a preferential price.
Hyogo Prefecture is implementing the “Regional Revitalization Project in Cooperation with Professional Sports Clubs” with the aim of enhancing opportunities for children in Hyogo to experience sports. As part of this project, the prefecture invites children to watch professional sports games and holds sports classes where children can receive direct instruction from professional players and staff.
For tickets, please apply for seats for the Hometown Tax Payment Project on the Kobe Stokes website. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis and may be closed depending on the number of applications. B.LEAGUE member registration is required to apply for free tickets.
Only elementary, junior high and high school students residing in Hyogo Prefecture and accompanying adults are eligible for the free tickets. (Ticket discount price: 1,500 yen, ticketing fee: 220 yen)
A Kobe Stokes spokesperson said, “Compared to other sports, the game develops more quickly, and you can see the powerful play of the players up close. The sense of togetherness of the entire venue cheering for the team is also an attraction that can be experienced at the venue.
