On March 16, “Harukoi Festa – Oyako de Hot Hour” will be held at Design and Creative Center Kobe (KIITO) in Chuo Ward, Kobe City, where children can enjoy a puppet show.
The event is organized by the Kobe Central Oyako Theatre. The organization, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, aims to deepen the bond between parents and children through watching professional stage performances and enjoying camping and festivals, and plans this event every spring, which can be enjoyed by non-members as well.
On the day of the event, children will be treated to a puppet show by the professional puppet troupe Clarte. Advance reservations are required and are now being accepted.
The play will be a stage adaptation of “Kitsune no Ofuro” by picture book author Erika Kunimatsu. Set in the mountains as winter approaches, the story features foxes, rabbits, monkeys, tigers, and other animals, and is a slightly heart-warming and heartwarming tale. The concurrent production is “Katte na Kuma” by picture book author Yoko Sano.
KIITO, the venue of the event, is also home to “KIITO:300 Camp,” where visitors can freely play 59 different board games and make crafts using scrap wood, as well as the “Sannomiya Library,” which will also be available for enjoyment in conjunction with the event.
