The former Agricultural Park in Nishi Ward, Kobe City, will be reopened as “Kobe Agri-Park” on April 12. I went to the preview held the day before the reopening.
Blessed with fine weather, the preview was attended by local kindergarten children and others. Mayor Kugen of Kobe City, who attended the preview, explained that “Kobe is also an agricultural city,” and commented on the renewed Kobe Agri-Park, saying, “I hope many people will visit this place to enjoy the charms of agriculture, forests, and satoyama, and that they will be able to enjoy its multifaceted attractions. We hope that many people will visit and enjoy the multifaceted charms of agriculture, forests, and satoyama.
From April 12, when the park opens, to May 6, “Nemophila Hill 2025,” an event in which approximately 1 million nemophila flowers will be in full bloom. The nemophila planted in high locations have begun to bloom, and on this day visitors were able to enjoy the collaboration with the cherry blossoms in full bloom.
After the preview, we took a tour of the park! Here is a handsome introduction of what you can enjoy.
You can walk around the park for free, but an admission fee is required to see the “Nemophila Hill. Admission tickets must be purchased at the ticket booth near the “WINE SHOP.
At the “WINE SHOP,” visitors can taste not only Kobe wine and Kobe’s specialties, but also the tastes of Tajima. Unique items such as craft beer made in Nishi Ward and sake that looks like wine are all available!
Among them, this “Kobe Beef Soap” is made from Kobe Beef fat. I wonder how comfortable it is to use….
A kitchen car event is scheduled to be held in the plaza in front of the WINE SHOP. There are many desks and chairs lined up, so you can eat here as well.
There are also restaurants and cafes in the back. Here, “Nemophila Soft” is available only during the “Nemophila Hill” event. It is a mint-flavored soft serve with a lovely light blue color like nemophila, and is a handsome way to enjoy taking pictures with nemophila.
From here, we finally reached the “Nemophila Hill! Due to the prolonged cold weather, the flowers had not yet fully bloomed on the day of the preview, but they are expected to be at their best by GW. It would be a good idea to go and see them during the long vacation.
The facility is also equipped with a “barbecue area” that does not require any tools or ingredients, making it easy to visit with family and friends. The facility is clean and quite spacious, so I felt that it would be easy to use even for those with small children.
The prefecture continues to see the construction of new facilities such as “GLION ARENA KOBE” and the reopening of commercial facilities. This time, another spot where you can relax and spend time with family and friends has been created, which will make your outings even more enjoyable♪
