Kobe President (Chuo-ku, Kobe City), a restaurant directly operated by JA-Zenno-Hyogo, is offering a limited-time menu created in collaboration with Sonoda Gakuen University through June 27.
This is the second collaboration since last year’s popular menu. This time, students of the Department of Food Management, Faculty of Human Health, Sonoda Gakuen University, have devised an original recipe using Awaji Island onions and other Hyogo Prefecture ingredients.
The special menu, a fusion of the students’ free-flowing ideas and the skills of the restaurant’s staff, can be tasted as an appetizer or soup in the course menu.
Three items were selected for the collaborative menu, the first of which is the appetizer, “Fumiyaki Shiitake Mushrooms”. Shiitake mushrooms and eggs make a perfect combination, and the aroma of shiso leaves is also enjoyable.
The second is “Cold Corn and Tomato Soup. The third dish, “Koso Miso,” is a miso paste based on basil and Awaji Island onions kneaded with white miso paste and served with meat and vegetables.
In response to this collaboration, the restaurant’s head chef said, “We were inspired by the combination of ingredients and the points of view unique to young sensibilities. We have taken the ideas of each chef and combined them with our own experience to create an original dish for Plaisir. We hope that many people will enjoy this collaboration.
