The 22nd Rokko Island Tulip Festival” Higashinada Ward, Kobe City

The Rokko Island Tulip Festival, a springtime tradition now in its 22nd year, will be held from March 21.

Visitors can view approximately 30,000 colorful tulips planted in five flowerbeds on Rokko Island.
Many new varieties will be introduced this year. These new varieties range from those with striking names such as “City of Vancouver” and “Super Model” to double-flowering varieties such as “Happy Upstar” and “Cartouche”.

This year, too, events such as stamp rallies, sketch contests, and photo sessions are scheduled to be held. At night, the flowers will be illuminated, giving them a different look from their daytime appearance.

In the flower popularity contest, in addition to voting by sticker as in previous years, online voting by QR code will be available. A new element of fun will also be introduced.
