Enjoy the view of Kobe in the new renovated space Kobe City Hall 1

The 24th floor “Observation Lobby” of Kobe City Hall (Chuo-ku, Kobe) reopened on October 14.

The observation lobby, which had been used as a venue for vaccination against new coronavirus infection, was reopened following the closure of the venue.

On the occasion of this reopening, the environment was renewed with innovations so that visitors can enjoy the view of Kobe in a more comfortable environment than before.

New digital signage was installed to show PR videos of the city’s sightseeing spots and major projects to convey the charms of Kobe. In addition, a “BE KOBE” monument (miniature version) has been installed at Meriken Park and five other locations in the city to convey the feelings behind the “BE KOBE” monuments.

From the observation lobby, visitors can see Rokko Island and HAT Kobe to the east, Higashi Yuenchi to Port Island to the south, and even the Kii Peninsula on the opposite shore on a clear day, and Harbor Land to the west.

During the opening hours, the elevator with the red door on the first floor of City Hall Building No. 1 for high-rise floors operates directly and exclusively to the 24th floor observation lobby.
