Artist Mieko Izumiya will exhibit and sell parasols, bags, hats, and other items made by remaking kimono.
The parasol is a one-of-a-kind item, with the handle, clasp, and other details meticulously crafted.
The artist will be in the gallery all day and will be happy to explain his work in detail.
The calligraphy of Manjiro Hishibuya is also exhibited along with the parasols.
About 40 types of parasols will be on display, including new ones created especially for this occasion.
