Yamada Store” in Fujiwaradai, Kobe, Sells Local Foods and Products

　On April 26, “Yamada Store North Kobe” opened in Step Garden Fujiwaradai (1 Fujiwaradai Naka-machi, Kita-ku, Kobe City).

A huge line formed even before the store opened on the first day.

　This is the third store in Kobe City, following the Rokko Island Store and the Suma Rikyu Park Store. In cooperation with local farmers and producers, “Bakery Log” (Kitamosuo, Awakawa-cho) will bake and sell bread in the store, while “YanYan FARM” (Jiro, Arino-cho) will grow “Jiro strawberries,” and “The Sowers” (Funada, Yamada-cho Harano) will roast specialty coffee beans in the store.

　More than 1,000 people lined up on the first day of the opening, with the first visitor to the store starting at 6:45 AM. Atsushi Nakano, manager of Yamada Store’s Store Operations Department, said, “More people than expected came to the store, and we feel the expectations of the local people. We want to create a flow of money back to the local area by handling local products,” he said enthusiastically.

　Business hours are from 9:00 to 22:00. Closed on New Year’s Day.
