Kobe is a city where nature and the city are located next to each other. If you go a little further into the mountains, you will soon find many spots where you can enjoy beautiful scenery. This time, I went to “Tenran-dai” (Nada-ku, Kobe City) to see the scenery of Kobe and Osaka from Mt.
The Rokko Cable Line, which had been suspended for train renewal, reopened on April 13. The “Rokko Sanjo Station” became the talk of the town with the installation of a street piano at the highest elevation in Kobe. Tenran-dai,” located just outside the station, is also popular as a free spot where visitors can look down on beautiful scenery.
The stairs lead up to a spacious area, and many people were enjoying the view on that day as well.
Wisteria flowers could be seen from the cable, but they were also in full bloom and smelling sweetly here.
This place was named “Tenran-dai” after the Emperor Showa who stopped by this place when he visited the Kobe Port Island Exposition held in 1981 and admired the view. It is a popular spot to enjoy the view of the Hanshin area.
We could see Rokko Island and the streets of Sannomiya and Motomachi. On a fine day, “Abeno Harukas” and “Hanshin Koshien Stadium” could also be seen.
The most interesting part was the contrast between the cityscape of the urban area and the rich nature! You will definitely enjoy the unique view of Kobe.
Furthermore, this place is famous for its “night view”! Along with “Rokko Garden Terrace” and “Suku-seidai,” it is known as one of the “three major night view spots on Mt. Rokko,” and the beauty of the night view is said to be “$10 million.
There is a parking lot below the observatory!
There is a spacious parking lot below the observatory, so you can enjoy the night view with your family or friends by car ♡ You will surely enjoy Kobe’s unique cityscape both in the daytime and at night.
