Information about the Tsuguharu Fujita Exhibition
This exhibition delves into the creative activities of Tsuguharu Fujita (1886-1968) through the following seven themes: self-expression, landscape, avant-garde, East and West, women, children, heaven and angels. Under the supervision of Sylvie Buisson, who compiled Fujita’s catalog raisonné, a total of 132 prints, drawings, oil paintings, and documents, mostly from private collections in France, will be exhibited.
The second part of the exhibition introduces works and materials by Japanese artists who were associated with Fujita (Riichiro Kawashima, Toshio Bando, Tadashi Koyanagi, Seiji Togo, Shikanosuke Oka, San-o Takano, Go Takasaki, Kinosuke Ebihara, and Yasukazu Tabuchi).
The concurrent “Selected Works of Ryohei Koiso II” exhibition will feature works by Ryohei Koiso from the museum’s collection.
