Established in 1989 by the city of Kobe, the “Kobe City Mixed Chorus” is one of the few professional choral groups in Japan. In addition to its biannual subscription concerts at Kobe Bunka Hall, the chorus also holds joint concerts with its sister organization, the Kobe City Chamber Orchestra.
This concert featured 18 members: 4 sopranos, 4 altos, 4 tenors, 4 basses, and 2 pianos. A wide range of music from standard choral pieces to operas and songs will be presented with episodic talk and enjoyment.

This concert was filled with the “favorites” of all the members! I often make my own playlists and song rankings, so I would love to hear what professional musicians have to say about why they love these songs.
