On March 26, Kobe Municipal Oji Zoological Park (Nada-ku, Kobe) will hold a lecture “A Breeder’s Story – California Sea Lions.
A “story” about a cute baby
This lecture is an annual event where visitors can hear about animal husbandry from the zoo’s keepers. This year’s lecture will be about the baby California sea lions born on June 9 and 22 last year.
The staff, who have been keeping the babies since their birth, will talk about their growth trajectory, their individual characteristics, and the hardships they have faced in raising them, providing a wealth of information that cannot be heard anywhere else. After the lecture, you can actually observe the baby California sea lions that are already on display.
This is an opportunity to hear about baby rearing that you cannot hear anywhere else.
Participation is by advance application only, and is open until March 2. Participants must be elementary school students or older and will receive an original badge. For details, please visit the website. <A word from the reporter>
Listening to the lecture will surely make you even more attached to the adorable babies. They will be asking for names for the baby sea lion in March, so if you attend the lecture, you may want to think of a name for it as well!
