Housing Design Center Kobe (HDC Kobe) in Chuo Ward, Kobe City, will hold a family event for children aged 1 to 12, “Manade Asobu! Kids Town” will be held on August 19 and 20. Admission is free.
It is a “work experience event” where visitors can challenge “work challenges” prepared in the venue’s Kids Town to win “town money,” and they can also use the town money they win to shop and participate in games.
The event is full of ideas to help children learn about the importance of work and money through play. The first thing to do at the event is to make a bankbook at the “Kodomo Ginko” (Children’s Bank).
At the “Job Challenge” booth, four kinds of jobs will be available each day. Visitors can experience a variety of jobs, from the standard “coffee shop” (19th) and “grocery store” (20th) to more unusual ones such as “kendama performer” (19th) and “treasure hunter” (20th).
At the “Premium Job Challenge” booth, visitors can also participate in kick bowling with players of the women’s futsal team “Arco Kobe”!
After earning “Town Money” at the Job Challenge, visit the “Candy Store,” “Mini Game Center,” and “Kids’ Marche” booths. You can buy snacks and play mini-games such as Struck Out and Wanage.
Items sold at the “Kids’ Marche” and “Candy Store” can also be purchased with cash.
<A word from the reporter>
It seems like a great sense of accomplishment to be able to challenge work and get paid for it (money)! As a parent, I am also excited to think that I might be able to witness the moment when my child grows up a little bit.
