Professional Puppet Troupe Clarte to Perform at Kobekkoland, Kobe City

On February 23, “Professional Puppet Troupe Clarte” will perform at Kobekkoland in Kobe’s Hyogo Ward, and applications are being accepted until February 12.

This professional puppet troupe has been actively touring elementary schools and performing for young children in the hope that “children will be exposed to live performing arts to nurture their rich sensibilities. This year’s performances include “Shizukana Ohanashi,” a paper craft style puppet show (from 10:30), and “Sonya and the Witch of the Forest,” a Matryoshka puppet show (from 1:00).

Advance registration through the official website is required for viewing, and a lottery will be held if the number of participants exceeds the maximum of 200.

The “Kobekko Land,” the venue of the festival, is fully equipped with a net playground for physical play, a modeling studio for creative activities using familiar materials, and a music studio for familiarizing children with sounds by touching various musical instruments. Children can also spend their free time as their interests dictate.
