The 5th “KOBE COFFEE JAM SESSION” will be held in 2023, the 100th anniversary of the first jazz performance by a professional band in Kobe. Mr. Koki Munekiyo, a member of the executive committee, recalls, “This event started when I thought that I, as a student, could do something on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Kobe Jazz. I am glad to see that jazz is gaining momentum in the Kansai region,” he said, “as new exchanges were born as a result of the event, and sessions were subsequently held.
Kazuki Ueda, a member of the Kobe University Coffee and Tea Study Group, calls for participation, saying, “We will select and serve coffee on the theme of the rainy season, and hope you will enjoy it with jazz.
The event will be held from 12:00 to 18:00. Admission is 1,400 yen for an advance ticket and 1,500 yen for a at-the-door ticket (both include a soft drink and coffee).
