KOBE VIDA LATINA Happy Peru” will be held on July 27 and 28 at the Takahama Quay in Kobe Harborland (Chuo-ku, Kobe) to celebrate the anniversary of the independence of Peru. Admission is free.
Peru, which gained independence from Spain on July 28, 1821, is a country with various attractions such as ancient civilizations including the ruins of Machu Picchu of the ancient Inca Empire and the Nazca Lines, Latin music, and delicious food. Diplomatic relations between Japan and Peru were concluded in 1873, and there is a long history of about 150 years between the two countries.
The event will feature traditional Peruvian dances as well as songs and dances from various countries. In addition, gourmet foods will be available, including South American cuisine and famous Kobe restaurants.
