The “Eco & Safety Hyogo Car Life Festa 2024” will be held at Meriken Park (Chuo-ku, Kobe) on November 16 and 17. Admission is free.
The event is jointly organized by the Hyogo Branch of JAF (Japan Automobile Federation) and the Hyogo Branch of Japan Automobile Dealers Association (JADA) to raise awareness of traffic safety.
On the day of the event, the Hyogo Prefectural Police will be on hand to display police cars and police motorcycles, while the Kinki District Transport Bureau, Hyogo Prefecture Traffic Safety Association, and other sponsor booths will distribute pamphlets, and support cars from various automakers will be on display and available for visitors to experience first-hand.
In addition, as activities to promote the attractiveness of automobiles, the JAF will work to secure and promote the training of auto mechanics through the display of working vehicles and the introduction and display of activities by automotive vocational schools and other organizations.
At the JAF booth, visitors can learn about traffic rules through quizzes, and raise awareness of traffic safety among small children with the “Children’s Safety License,” which is issued after taking their photo on the spot.
Visitors can also experience the “Agility Measuring Device” equipment, which measures reaction speed like a game and allows visitors to check their agility age.
Other booths will also feature a vehicle demonstrating the effectiveness of child safety seats and stressing the importance of child safety seats.
In addition, the Kobe Koryo High School Marching Band will perform on the afternoon of the 16th, and there will be a stamp rally, a raffle to win original goods, and gourmet food from a kitchen car.
<A word from the reporter:
The event is a reminder of the importance of traffic safety. Children should learn the rules to protect themselves, and adults behind the steering wheel should be vigilant in their efforts to prevent accidents.
