On April 10, The Garden Place Suzuen (Higashinada-ku, Kobe) will host a one-day Maker’s Dinner featuring Mr. Ryuta Takahashi, representative from “domaine tetta”, a winery in Tetamachi, Niimi, Okayama Prefecture.
Founded in 2016, domaine tetta’s vineyards are located in Tetta-cho, Niimi, in the northwestern part of Okayama Prefecture. With long hours of sunshine, cold temperatures, and calcareous soil surrounded by beautiful natural mountains, the vineyards spread out on the top of a small mountain 400 meters above sea level, the landscape is as exhilarating as a European vineyard. We are challenging ourselves to cultivate grapes that maximize the potential of this region.
For the Maker’s Dinner, a special food and wine experience, producers will be invited to enjoy a special menu prepared exclusively for the occasion by Chef Yuji Shirai of The Garden Place Suzuen, interwoven with the producers’ wines.
The six-course menu features local vegetables and seafood from Hyogo Prefecture, and carefully selected meats and cheeses from Okayama Prefecture, all of which are unique to the region in which they are grown. The chef’s skillful cooking techniques are paired with six domaine tetta wines that reflect the passion and dedication of the producers, further enhancing the deliciousness of the food and the appeal of the wines.
