Extracting raw materials from sewage sludge|Kobe SDGs Fertilizer
Kobe
Recycled Phosphorus
Kobe City and a private company started an initiative to recover phosphorus from sewage sludge about 10 years ago. Phosphorus contained in food is discharged as urine and flows into sewage. Using special technology, this phosphorus is refined into Kobe Recycled Phosphorus, which can be used as a fertilizer for agricultural crops.
