Bazaar, storytelling, balloon art, and other cultural autumn days

On November 27, the “12th Machi no Bunka Matsuri 2022” will be held at Futaba Gakusha in Nagata-ku, Kobe. Admission is free.

The Futaba Gakusha (Futaba Schoolhouse) is a school building of the former Futaba Elementary School, which had finished its role after Komagabayashi Elementary School moved to a new building on the former site of Choraku Elementary School in 2008, and is used as a venue for various lectures and community activities. More than 50 groups from Kobe City and beyond participated in the event, demonstrating the results of their daily activities. The event features a variety of exhibitions, workshops, and performances.
At the venue, there will be workshops such as making crunchy dolls out of paper cups, making illustrations, and learning how to use the body effectively through physical exercises. There will also be a food stall corner, where visitors can taste specialty gourmet foods such as shirasu (dried young sardines) rice bowls, curry, fried chicken, and more.

On the stage, a variety of performances are scheduled, including kids’ dance, Chinese martial arts, and hula dance, to liven up the event.
The organizers say, “Last year’s event was scaled down in Corona, but this year we have prepared a variety of events to make it even more exciting than in previous years. The stage show and the exhibition in the museum will be a place to present the results of our daily activities. Let’s laugh, play, and learn! We hope you will come and join us. ＜This
year’s annual community event will be held again♪ Enjoy strolling around with your children while having fun with performances, workshops, and playing with your children.
